"Power that moves" is the credo of logi.cals customer ELIN EBG Traction, www.elinebgtraction.at, a leading supplier of traction equipment for trams, LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles) and metros for mass transport vehicles as well as for trains and locomotives for main line vehicles.
"Let's move together" is the mission statement of the largest Belgian urban public transport company "STIB" (Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles) - www.stib.be, which provides transport for a population of over 1,100,000 inhabitants and thousands of commuters. The STIB network has 4 metro lines, 20 tram lines, 50 bus lines and 17 night bus lines.
Over the past few years, STIB has experienced a real structural revolution. Whereas before the company was exclusively concerned with practicality, today it is resolutely customer-oriented with new transport links, new vehicles, a new brand image and new products.

ELIN EBG Traction supplied the Metro for Brussels. Engineering of the Metro traction equipment was accomplished with logi.CAD,
logi.CAD is the IEC 61131-3 automation platform developed by logi.cals. "all the more power" - logi.cals' credo.

Propulsion Control System
ELIN EBG Traction
For the new “light rail vehicles“ (city trains) in Phoenix our customer ELIN EBG Traction provides the propulsion equipment. Programming of the Propulsion Control System was carried out using logi.CAD (function plan technology).
Traction control is realized with the compact control unit "ELTAS ECON", developed by ELIN EBG Traction.
Application programs – compatible with ELTAS-controls – are generated from logi.CAD function plans by a special code generator.

ELIN EBG Traction
ELIN EBG Traction is a supplier of state-of-the art electrical traction equipment for all types of rail vehicles all over the world.
The car control system was programmed with logi.CAD (function plan technology). The approved ELTAS control system is used as a control. With a specific code generator, user programmes - compliant with the ELTAS control - are generated from logi.CAD function plans. One remarkable aspect that should be noted is that also safety-related controls are realized by this technology. Therefor, the complete development process for hardware, software and also the specific logi.CAD implementation was inspected by the TÜV.
