OEM Contract

The business model for “OEM partners” is based upon an OEM contract.

logi.cals OEM Shipment Package (OEM Developers' License)

A logi.cals OEM shipment package (“OEM developer's license”) for first shipment contains:

1 CD logi.CAD automation platform

1 dongle or softlock for software license protection and for activating the modules you have selected from the feature list.
Quickstart documentation
1 CD logi.cals SDK-CD (“Software Development Kit”) incl. logi.CODE ( basic modules for resource type
License file(s) for the chosen platform(s) - if you use logi.RTS PLC runtime systems.

Special cases:
With logi.PLC (complete solution incl. hardware) the license file is shipped together with the hardware.
No license file is required if an OEM-made runtime system is used.

For additional OEM developers' licenses you get additional specific dongles or softlocks.

CD logi.CAD automation platform

contains the complete automation platform software package logi.CAD with all available modules in German/English/French incl. special software (resource types, runtime systems) for the connection to visualization systems and automation systems for all established platforms.
"Resource Type" and "logi.RTS" PLC runtime systems are ready-made for the most common operating systems and platforms and - with the help of our experts - can be adapted quickly to your specific system and requirements.

CD logi.cals SDK

With the component framework logi.CODE (source code on “logi.cals SDK”-CD) you can develop and implement resource types and PLC runtime systems of your own.
Also included: components for adapting logi.CAD to your corporate identity and for implementing additional language versions.

Licensing

Licensing is split up in

“OEM developers'” license (for logi.CAD),
“Runtime system RTS" license (for ready-made logi.RTS runtime systems made by logi.cals) resp.
“Runtime system OEM” (for OEM developed runtime systems)

OEM developers license

Licensing for the logi.CAD automation platform

For your individual logi.CAD license only the modules and language versions you selected are activated in the dongle. This initial licensing is done by logi.cals before shipment by activating specific codes in the dongle.
Adding additional modules to your individual license is therefore easily done by activating more codes. You get the codes per e-mail, without installing the programme again, without a new dongle.
For additional OEM developers' licenses you get additional specific dongles or softlocks.

logi.CAD licenses start at € 2.000,- (which includes a 1-year service contract), and depend on the range of licensed functions and on the amount of licenses you buy.

Runtime System logi.RTS license

Licensing for logi.RTS runtime systems

If you use standard logi.RTS runtime systems you need one logi.RTS runtime license for each target system CPU . Runtime system licensing is done by applying a license file.
The fees for runtime licenses come to € 383,- in general, but depend on the amount of licenses you buy.

OEM-developed Runtime system license

Licensing for runtime systems developed by the OEM

If you (= the OEM) develop a runtime system of your own, based on logi.RTS or logi.CODE, you do not pay license fees per target system CPU, but only for a one-time buyout.

We recommend 3 steps to prepare for your in-house development:

1. Self-study with the Quickstart documentation (included on CD)
2. Standard training course “Using logi.CAD and connecting automation system logi.RTS Windows (X86)”
3. Trainings for OEM and development partners for logi.CAD with an introduction to the internal software architecture of our products and to the application of our development tools.

Service Contract

The OEM contract includes a standard software service contract for logi.CAD including logi.RTS. Service contract duration is 12 months. You will get free updates to the latest programme version on CD incl. licensing codes for the new version.

Free telephone support (hotline) is included in the service contract. Also covered by the contract: support by logi.cals developers for OEM development projects.
