logi.PLC WIN
For non-time-critical control applications and/or especially for applications for data recording and evaluation, logi.cals provides the products logi.RTS and webSERVER under the desktop operating system Windows.
As an automation system computer (i.e. a PLC-computer) is specifically equipped to perform automation tasks, this equipment can be used for tasks that can also be executed on common automation systems and/or industry-PCs with real-time systems or micro-controllers but there it will be harder and more cost-intensive to execute them.
Especially the memory equipment, volatile (RAM) as well as non-volatile (harddisk, flash disk) and available standard software can be used by logi.RTS and webSERVER, too.
logi.RTS and webSERVER for Windows systems offer the following special functions (among other things):
- data exchange via OPC
- logi.RTS reads data from an OPC-server and writes the data back onto it
- connection to standard automation systems (e.g. Simatic S7, systems by Rockwell ...) and control systems (e.g. PCS7, Melody by ABB, Yokogawa, ...)
- data exchange with visualization systems and usage of the communication drivers
- available there programming of control system functionality by logi.CAD and logi.DOC as well
- recording of data
- in files
- in databases (SQL)
- connection to third-party software
- data exchange with Copadata Zenon
- integration with simulation systems, such as WinMod (Mewes & Partner), D-Spice (Kongsberg/Fantoft)
